A solution must include
Completion requirements • There is exactly one current Bagholder at any time. • Taking the bag costs exactly 5 USDC more than the current holder's stake, paid in USDC on Base. • In the same transaction, the previous holder gets their full original stake back and the 5 USDC goes to an operator address the owner sets. • Stakes are held by a smart contract, never by a person or the website. The current holder's stake stays locked until someone takes the bag. • The homepage shows the current Bagholder's advert: a link, an image advert with a clickable link, or a project name, logo and short description. • Clicks on the current advert are counted. • A public history lists every past Bagholder with their stake, how long they held the bag and how many clicks they got. • An admin can hide an advert that breaks the content rules, without being able to touch any stakes. • The game works in a normal browser with a common wallet. • The contract and site code are open source.
Rules • Completion is judged on testnet. Launching on mainnet with real USDC is the domain owner's decision after the transfer. • The contract must have no function that lets anyone, including the admin or the operator, withdraw, redirect or freeze stakes. • Only the 5 USDC difference can ever go to the operator. • No new token, no promised returns and no claims of profit. The site must say plainly that the last Bagholder's stake stays locked if nobody takes the bag. • Adverts must not promote scams, malware, adult content, illegal products or impersonation. • The winner receives the Bagholder.lol domain, transferred to them once the win is confirmed, along with any bounty.
A submission only qualifies if every mandatory requirement is met. Evidence must be independently reviewable: a screenshot alone is not enough where a live URL, public transaction, source repository, original file or private verification can reasonably be supplied. We may ask for more evidence where authenticity is unclear. Fraudulent evidence, impersonation, unsafe conduct or manufactured activity invalidates the submission.
How it’s verified: Live demo URL running on Base Sepolia with test USDC; Public repository with the contract and site; Verified contract address on a block explorer; Video showing at least three successive Bagholder changes, including a previous holder getting their stake back; Contract tests covering takeovers, refunds and the 5 USDC fee; Written explanation of the rules, the contract and the admin controls.
The first valid solution wins.
The first solution that meets every criterion wins. No end date: open until solved.
Money is held in 75-day rounds. If a round ends without a winner, everyone who added money gets their bounty money back on their card. A bounty under $50 is refunded instead of paid out.
