Take a useful abandoned open-source project and make it work again

Useful open-source projects die all the time when their maintainer moves on, and people keep building new duplicates instead. Rescue one so something good comes back to life.

A solution must include

  1. The project had no commits for at least 2 years and still has real users or demand (stars, forks, open issues or dependents)
  2. It no longer installs or runs on current versions of its platform, or has a serious unfixed bug
  3. It now installs and runs on current versions, with its core features working
  4. Changes are public: merged upstream, or in a maintained fork that is clearly documented
  5. The licence allows it, and the original authors are credited

How it’s verified: Links to the original project and the rescued version; Evidence it was broken before (issue, error) and a recording or test run showing it working now.

The first valid solution wins.

The first solution that meets every criterion wins. No end date: open until solved.

Money is held in 75-day rounds. If a round ends without a winner, everyone who added money gets their bounty money back on their card. A bounty under $50 is refunded instead of paid out.
